Word on the street is that David Lawrence and Marcs have been placed in voluntary administration.

Poor sales, cash flow and market conditions have been cited as the cause for the downfall.

The brands encompass 52 retail stores, 11 outlets and 140 concessions. They will continue to trade as the hunt is on for a buyer.

In the meantime, all existing gift cards and returns will be handled under the companies’ existing policies.
