Designer Chris Kontos appointed creative director of Adelaide Fashion Festival
Great things ahead.
He’s South Australian and proud, as well as immensely talented in the fashion industry. So it’s no surprise that designer Chris Kontos has landed the role of Adelaide Fashion Festival’s creative director.
Chris already has an impressive resumé, and this appointment seems like a natural step in his career. Holding the position of lead designer of TY-LR up until April 2016, Chris has played a key role in establishing Australia as a player in the global fashion landscape. His designs drew international attention when they were snapped on Kendall Jenner earlier this year. The TY-LR label has since been named a favourite of Kendall, by the woman herself.
With a taste of the power surrounding celebrity exposure, Chris is keen to gather some celebrity endorsement for the Adelaide Fashion Festival. The festival was pretty damn amazing last year (here’s proof), and with Chris behind the 2016 spectacular, we can’t wait to see what this year holds.
The Adelaide Fashion Festival kicks off on October 19.
