Forever 21 is relaunching its plus size offering

Love you forever (21).

Forever 21 is taking a conscious step towards inclusiveness, relaunching its plus size collection in a major way.

The brand has decided it’s time to revamp and expand its current line, taking the collection of apparel, lingerie and accessories in an energetic new direction.

“We’re excited to bring our shoppers an updated line of plus fashion that’s both edgy and bold,” said vice president of merchandising, Linda Chang, in a statement. “Our plus customer is confident and fashion-forward, undefined by size, and this is reflected in our new spring Plus collection.”

Lulu Bonfils and Barbie Ferreira front the new campaign, giving a nod to the ’90s with chokers, studded jackets, bleached and embroidered denim, as well as plus size swimwear.

Forever 21 first debuted its plus size collection back in 2009. The brand felt it was responding to the huge gap in the market for affordable, yet wearable, inclusive sized clothing.

“Our instincts were right, and now plus is a key category for us,” Chang told WWD. “We’re relaunching Forever 21 Plus in response to a growing customer demand for more styles and fashion.”
