Get your pens out, the MSFW 2016 program just dropped

Florals for Spring 2016?

If you haven’t been keeping track of the year, here’s a very simplified update:

It’s July.

This means Melbourne Spring Fashion Week is approaching fast.

In other words, reach for your pens because your schedules are about to be fashion week-ed out – if that’s even possible.

This year, MSFW has chosen former Home and Away beach babe, now international actress and style icon, Isabel Lucas as the face of the festival.

As for the program, it’s looking shmicker than ever with a range of runways, exhibitions, markets, seminars and workshops on offer from August 26 to September 2.

MSFW has again partnered with Vogue Australia to kick off the festival, with the Vogue American Express Fashion’s Night Out in Bourke Street Mall on opening night. Think late night shopping and discounts. We also suspect some bubbly will be floating about somewhere.

Event regular, the Designer Runway Series, is returning to Melbourne Town Hall over four nights.

Other highlights include MSFW’s Emerging program, which will showcase Melbourne’s talented designers from RMIT, FashionMasters, Whitehouse Institute of Design and more. For the entire week, there will also be a market filled with pieces from emerging and independent designers.

MSFW will also be launching an app providing users (i.e. you) with personalised programming and exclusive fashion content. It’s available from August 1 and you can download it at iTunes.

If you’re as excited as us, tickets are already available for purchase here.
