Gosha Rubchinskiy and adidas are collaborating on football gear
Word is out.
Gosha Rubchinskiy is a really busy guy. Not only has he officially revealed an eyewear collection with SUPER by RETROSUPERFUTURE, Rubchinskiy has just teased a collaboration with adidas Football.
News from Rubchinskiy’s FW17 show in Kaliningrad, Russia has been leaking through social media.
The show gave guests a look at a range of apparel, including football gear. We’re talking tracksuits, coach jackets, scarves, track pants and potentially more, each emblazoned with ‘football’ in Cyrillic.
Word on the street is we’re also looking at least two pairs of sneakers.
Highsnobiety reports we’ll see an ACE 16+ SUPER with a laceless sock design and a reissue of the Copa football shoe. Both will be available in two colourways.
Business of Fashion has also reported the collection will go beyond just a one-off collab. It’s expected the drop will unfold over three seasons in the lead up to the adidas-sponsored 2018 World Cup in Russia.
