Kowtow has released a limited edition tee raising money for refugees

Marking World Refugee Day.

If you didn’t already know, today is World Refugee Day – a day dedicated to raising awareness of the situations of refugees throughout the world.

It’s a day that’s important to Kowtow founder, Gosia Piatek, who is a former refugee from Poland.

So to help raise awareness and funds for those seeking asylum, Kowtow has released a limited-edition printed tee for World Refugee Day. Available with long or short sleeves, the tee features a printed house with a heart inside, to represent the journey of refugees.

All proceeds from each sale will go towards the resettlement of refugees in New Zealand, through the Red Cross’ refugee programs.

“We are all human. It doesn’t matter if you are a refugee, you should be treated with the same dignity and receive basic human rights,” says Gosia.

“To me, there is no other bigger topical issue than the current refugee crisis. Knowing we can provide ease to a family or add kindness to life, and not adding any more hardship is the least we can do as a human race.”

Cementing Kowtow’s good work even further, the tee is made from certified ethical organic cotton.

You can pick up your own Heart House tee online now.
