Nike taps Travis Scott, Virgil Abloh and more to design their own Air Force 1s

Blank canvas.

Nike is no stranger to collaboration or two.

Having just released an Air Force 1 capsule collection with Ruby Rose, the brand has now tapped five more big-name creatives to make their mark on the shoe.

As part of the AF-100 collaboration project, Nike asked Travis Scott, Virgil Abloh, Errolson Hugh, Don C and Kareem ‘Biggs’ Burke of Roc-A-Fella records to recreate an Air Force 1 of their choice.

They were given a blank canvas with just one condition. The shoe must be an Air Force 1 in a white colourway

Each collaborator then added his own touch to the shoe, which included zippers, gold accents, custom insignias and silver Nike swooshes.

It’s all to celebrate 35 years of Nike’s Air Force 1 and the impact the shoe has had on modern culture.

The collaboration is touching down in Australia from December at select Nike retailers, with prices starting at $220.
