Your power-lacing sneakers might be from Puma, not Nike

Another thing Back to the Future didn’t predict.

So it turns out Back To The Future’s accurate predictions were kind of a let down. Are we the only ones that are disappointed we can’t buy power-lacing Nike Air Mags yet?

Back to the Future day came and went, and their grand unveiling was rather underwhelming. We found out that the only way to get your hands on a pair of Mags is through an auction in spring/autumn 2016.

To date, Michael J. Fox is the only man in the world to own a pair, naturally.

So for those in serious need of filling your power-lacing desires, Puma has come to the rescue. And they might actually beat Nike to the market.

Puma has designed a system called Autodisc, which enables the wearer to automatically tie up their shoes at the touch of a button. This particular disc closure technology is still at the prototype stage, however it looks like they may reach the market first.

With an expandable upper, layered foam, flexible mesh and an on-the-go charging plate, the shoe is sure to be a comfortable and lazy taste of the future.
