Ladies of Leisure release cine snack ‘Leisure’
Classic slumber party vibes are now trending.
You remember Ladies of Leisure, or LOL for short? The group of cool creatives from Melbourne who are spreading their sublime style and vision one zine at a time? Now the girls are making new waves with their latest project ‘Leisure’.
Together with Indoor Fountains and Folk Collective (the ultimate dream team), the LOL squad have released a short film for your viewing pleasure, capturing basically all the name implies.
The clip draws on classic slumber party vibes and 18+ style, with a ’70s twist. There are countless colourful cocktails in weird and funky glasses, disco balls, glossy lips, beauty pampering, LOL nail details and girls dancing around to the moody synth-pop beats of duo GL.
The ladies are styled by LOL creative director Savannah Anand-Sobti in Dress Up’s upcoming SS 15/16 collection and in jewlz by Melbourne label Building Two. It’s leaving the taste of sweet nostalgia on our lips, demonstrating those feel good vibes of when you’re hanging with your girls.
Accompanied by an excessive amount of silver streamers and edition II of the LOL zine, this cine snack embodies what these girls are all about: showcasing and inspiring incredible creativity. And, with a Ladies of Leisure workshop set to be coming soon, you want to be keeping a close eye on these girls
