A breakfast-for-dinner festival is coming to Melbourne, because of course it is

Forget brunch. It’s all about brinner now.

Surely, the best thing about being an adult is the ability to choose what you want to eat, whenever you want to eat it.

Frootloops for dinner? Absolutely, why the hell not. A steak for breakfast? I’ll take two. A cookie for lunch? Don’t judge me, devilishly handsome coffee shop guy, you’re not my real dad.

With that in mind, Australia’s first ever breakfast-for-dinner festival is coming to Melbourne, bringing together all your favourite breakfast items for an evening feast.

Naturally, there’ll be more smashed avo than there are perturbed Baby Boomers who think the reason young Australians will never afford a home is that they squander all their dollars on shit like this.

There’ll be fancy toasted sangas (featuring a signature cheese blend toasted sandwich with tomato and kale cashew pesto), smoked bacon and egg pork tacos from Fancy Hanks, ice cream sandwiches adorned with Coco Pops, deep fried crispy avocado rolls (600 of these bad boys will be given out for free on the night), and a whole bunch more.

In an added bonus, the first 50 guests on the night will eat and drink without paying a single cent.

We all know there’s no such thing as a free lunch. But a free brinner? Yep, that just might work.

Melbourne’s inaugural Brinner Fest will run from 5pm until 10pm on Friday August 25 at 206 Bourke Street.
