Get ready, coffee Coca-Cola now exists

We’re ready.

Coke Zero fans were hit hard earlier this year when Coca-Cola announced it would no longer produce sweet, sweet Coke Zero.

But all hope is not lost, there is a worthwhile substitute on the horizon. And no, we’re not talking about the travesty that is Coke No Sugar.

Coca-Cola Coffee Plus is the brand’s latest venture, with reports suggesting the soft drink tastes like coke at first, with a coffee aftertaste. If Vanilla Coke is anything to go by, this could be a huge success.

Of course, ‘coffee Coke’ is limited to Japan at this point, where it’s sold exclusively in vending machines.

It has 50 per cent fewer calories, and 50 per cent more caffeine than regular coke, which is perfect for that 3pm pick-me-up.

While yes, Coca Cola tried this once before in 2006 with Coca Cola BlāK, we as a society were not ready.

We can only hope this one is a success in Japan and makes its way Down Under asap.

We’re ready, we promise.
