James Franco has written a book about Lana Del Rey

Admiration or obsession?

If you didn’t already know, James Franco has a bit of an obsession with Lana Del Rey.

This first became apparent when Franco penned a poem(?)/essay for Vmagazine discussing his “friend” who “grew up on the East Coat but is an artist of the West Coast.” The piece detailed Franco’s admiration for her work and basically described them as being the same person, with the only difference being “her haunting voice,” (sadly he really believes it too.)

Apparently though, one essay on Lana is just not enough for Franco to get over his fixation, stating that he wanted to write a book about her and she responded saying “just write around me; it’s better if it’s not my own words. It’s almost better if you don’t get me exactly, but try.”

And try is exactly what adoring Franco has done, announcing that he has co-written a paperback with David Shield titled Flip-Side: Real and Imaginary Conversations With Lana Del Rey, which will be released in March 2016.
