Meet the Melbourne studio with a monthly social sewing night

Stitch n’ Bitch.

Melbourne’s Thread Den is a mecca for sewing, craft and creation.

Since opening in 2007, the sewing lounge has been teaching crafty guys and gals to stitch all sorts of garments from dresses to pants, sarongs to skirts.

On the last Friday of each month, the club hosts a member’s-only sewing, crafting and creating night.

Known as a ‘Stitch n’ Bitch’, the event is three hours of food and wine consumption, a chat and, of course, a stitch. They provide the wine, you bring the food. Sounds like the perfect relationship.

It’s recommended you bring along current sewing projects, but attending purely for a chat is also welcome. You’ll get great advice from the teacher hosting on the night, as well as from your fellow crafters.

The event is free for Thread Den members (a membership is only $43 annually), so make sure to sign up before you book your place.
