Social studies.

In years to come, when kids are asked what they’d like to be when they grow up, perhaps ‘influencer’ will be thrown into the mix with doctors, firefighters and police officers.

Condé Nast Italia is now offering a six-month course on social media practices and influencer marketing.

The Social Academy is based in Milan, and just kicked off its very first course for free.

20 students were selected from a cohort of 2,000 and will acquire up to 240 hours of education on digital and social media. Topics include audience engagement, community management, SEO, video and photo editing and content strategy.

By March next year, they’ll be certified influencers.

In 2018, the academy plans to expand into two academic terms, with larger class sizes as well as the introduction of course fees.

If you think influencing could make a lucrative career, find out more here.
