Australian beauty Ayla releases video for single ‘Waiting’

One to watch.

At just nineteen years old, Ayla released her second single ‘Waiting’ in May. It followed her debut single ‘Wish I was’, which became the fifteenth most played track on Triple J in 2014 and the highest placing song by a solo female artist on the station. GIRL POWER. Now, the music video for ‘Waiting’ has been released, marking a new, slightly darker chapter in Ayla’s story.

‘Waiting’ explores feelings of longing and loneliness through vivid guitar sounds, tight-knit drums and delicate synths, amidst Ayla’s powerful yet sweet-sounding vocals. Her latest video is different from her mystical, nature-inspired clip for ‘Wish I was’. Instead we see the dark haired beauty transitioning from an angelic white attire to deep, red lace, with a candle-lit mood throughout and red roses aplenty.

Last week Ayla announced that she would be at BIGSOUND in September, to showcase ‘Waiting’ and tracks from her forthcoming debut EP, which is to be released in the coming months.

The enchanting Ayla is definitely one to watch in Australia and internationally, having just signed a deal with Italian label Ego music, that is also the home (away from home) to Emma Louise and the Jezabels.
