AYLA releases second single ‘Waiting’

It’s a goodie.

AYLA has just released her second single, ‘Waiting’. It’s a powerful song riddled with guitars, tight drums and softer synths.

‘Waiting’ follows her debut single, ‘Wish I Was’, which was the 15th most played track on Triple J last year. It was also the highest by a solo female. Yeah AYLA.

She was recently signed to record label, Ego Music, in Italy. They work with The Jezabels and Emma Louise so it’s a pretty sweet deal for the Sunshine Coast gal.

‘Waiting’ premiered on Triple J’s Good Nights last night but it officially drops on iTunes this Friday. We’re pretty keen to see the music video and listen to her debut EP soon.

AYLA shed some light on the song’s content.

“The beginnings of the song ‘Waiting’ came about when I was at an ice skating rink with a group of friends. It was crowded, yet I still felt alone,” she said.

She’s supported The John Steel Singers, BONJAH and Husky but she has plans to do a few more gigs around the release of her EP.

Have a squiz.
