Montaigne: Glorious Heights

Soaring vocals.

Finally, we receive Montaigne’s glorious debut album and we’re happy to say she has reached new heights (get it?!).

Opening with an energetic title track, her new album is sparkling pop in the vein of Florence and the Machine.

You can feel it in the driving drums, soaring vocals and (dare I say it) even in the artwork.

At times, the album also channels the best of Kimbra with ‘In The Dark’ and Charli XCX with ‘Because I Love You’.

So, basically all the best pop references of the last decade. However, I want to be clear here: this is a delightfully original work and what a great place to start.
