The Weeknd is releasing a comic book called Star Boy

The Weeknd is proving yet again that he has more to share than just music. Following collaborations with brands like H&M and Puma, he’s recently revealed a new partnership of which a comic book will ensue.

After dropping a few hints via social media, Abel Tesfaye has officially announced he’s releasing a comic-book with Marvel. Tesfaye appeared at New York’s Comic-Con yesterday to promote the new series, Star Boy.

According to Tesfaye’s interview with Pigeon and Planes, Star Boy follows “a cool, dope character” who is “braggadocious”. Sounds fun.

Though we don’t know much more at this stage, we can assume the comic will share more similarities with The Weeknd’s 2016 album than just the name.

The first issue is set to drop early next year but in the meantime, we’re anticipating a lot of hype.
