Health experts want us to feel guilty all the time, are trying to put exercise labels on food

Food shaming much?

In not so ‘Happy Friday’ news, the UK’s Royal Society for Public Health is advocating for packaged food to be labelled with the amount of exercise it would take to burn off a serving. We know, ew.

The aim of the changes is to prompt people to be more mindful of what they consume, and consider how their food choices relate to everyday activities.

Prior to making its recommendation, the RSPH conducted a survey that found over half of adults would eat less, eat something else or exercise more if they saw such labels. But that also means close to half wouldn’t change a thing.

We don’t know about you, but after we’ve had a long stressful day, the last thing we want to know is how much worse it’ll get if we indulge.

Friday burger anyone?
