Open since 1976, Dakota 501 is as current as ever when it comes to casual style.

Dakota 501 is denim heaven. All about the casual look, this South Yarra store is home to an ever changing lineup of Australian and international labels including Cheap Monday, Dr. Denim, Levis, Nobody and Nude Jeans Co. Housed in a heritage-listed building and open since 1976 the industrial haven’s high ceilings, interior brick walls and exposed loft-veranda provides along with excellent customer service a laid-back shopping experience. And although this institution specialises in denim for men and women, it also stocks street-wear lables such as Vanishing Elephant and Fred Perry. With an ethos of evolving with fashion, rather than changing this store is like an old friend, much like your favourite pair of jeans.
