Name: Origins Original Skin Essence Lotion with Dual Ferment Complex
Price: $41
What it does: A lotion to be used after cleansing and toning to hydrate skin, boosts glow, reduce the look of pores and uneven texture.
Key ingredients: Dual ferment complex, Canadian willowherb, Persian silk tree, Chestnut seed extract, contains alcohol (but it doesn't say so!)
Available from: mecca.com.au

How it feels/smells/looks

It smells like roses! Looks and feels kind of like a serum, clear and weightless. It’s oil-free too!

Why I like it

I had no idea what an essence lotion was before I used it, but it’s given me the moisture-boost my skin needed heading into the cooler months. I don’t have an extensive skin routine, so I just apply day and night before my moisturiser.

Areas for improvement

I had to stop applying near my eyes as it would start to burn after a while and my eyes would tear up. Assuming this is due to high alcohol content. It also doesn’t list the ingredients anywhere on the box or packaging, so you have to do your research to find it contains alcohol.

Final comments

A little goes a long way, I feel like this will last me for months.
