"These are great!"

It’s been 13 years since we first saw adidas’ custom Rom sneakers in Wes Anderson’s 2004 film The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou. And now, after years of begging, fans can get their hands on the real thing.

adidas quietly surprised the world last weekend, dropping a very limited run of the Rom Zissou.

The shoes feature a white leather upper, with blue three-striped branding and submarine yellow laces. Each pair also a features a small, gold ‘Zissou’ on the upper, just like Bill Murry’s pair in the film.

Sadly, only 100 pairs of the shoe were released in Paris and there’s no word on whether a wider release will come in future.

We've got our fingers crossed.
