Comme des Garçons has released a fragrance inspired by Andy Warhol

You’re in.

Comme des Garçons has unveiled its latest fragrance, a unisex perfume inspired by Andy Warhol.

The fragrance, titled ‘Andy Warhol’s You’re In’, pays homage to Warhol’s 1967 artwork of the same name, which involved six spray painted silver Coke bottles.

Warhol filled the Coke bottles with a citrus perfume he dubbed ‘toilet water’, leading to a cease-and-desist letter from Coca Cola. The project was then abandoned.

Comme des Garçons’ version has more appealing notes of bitter orange, lime zest, jasmine and coriander leaf. It comes in the form of six matte silver industrial bottles, each with a different quote by Warhol. Thankfully, the fashion house has steered clear of the original Coke bottle design.

The fragrance launched today at the Dover Street Market in New York, and is due to roll out in stores that carry CDG globally in October.
