Save your skin with our five minute face mask recipe

Face lift.

Now that winter’s officially here, we’re betting your skin could use some TLC.

But before you go forking out the big bucks, consider an at-home facial using ingredients from your kitchen cupboard. This five-minute recipe will reduce inflammation, help treat acne and fight the ageing process.

Ingredients

• 1 teaspoon of turmeric powder
• 2 tablespoons of yoghurt
• 2 tablespoons of honey
• 1/3 cup of rolled or ground oats
• 30mL of hot water

Method

1. Add the hot water and oats to a mixing bowl. Stir to combine and sit for two minutes, allowing the mixture to cool.
2. Mix in yoghurt, honey and turmeric powder until a paste is formed.
3. Apply a thin layer to your face and relax for 20 minutes.
4. Rinse with warm water.
