Role Description
Working closely with the Creative Director, you will play an integral role across all stages of the design process—from concept through to sampling—ensuring collections are executed with precision, aligned to brand direction, and delivered within key timelines.
This role requires a strong eye for detail, strong print knowledge, and the ability to balance creativity with commercial awareness.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Creative Director across all aspects of range design and development
- Assist in sourcing fabrics, trims, and materials aligned with brand direction
- Develop technical and design assets using Adobe Creative Suite
- Prepare detailed tech packs for supplier handover, including specs and trim instructions
- Conduct trend and market research to inform seasonal direction
- Working with the Creative Director on all print ideas, development and iterations with suppliers
- Assist in fit sessions, sample reviews, and product refinement
- Maintain strong organisation across design files, updates, and timelines
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment from design through to production
KEY SKILLS
- Relevant qualification in Fashion Design, Product Development, or similar ( Textile design )
- Experience in fashion design or product development (womenswear highly regarded)
- Strong print and textile sensibility preferred
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Illustrator and InDesign
- Solid understanding of garment construction and production processes
- Strong awareness of market trends and competitor landscape
- Highly organised with excellent time management and attention to detail
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Clear communication skills and a proactive, solutions-focused mindset
- Strong alignment with the Palm Noosa aesthetic and brand values
