Role Description
Born in 2021 with a simple cushion and a big dream, Hommey is revolutionising the homeware industry. We believe that creating an aspirational, top-quality brand doesn’t have to break the bank. Our mission? To help you craft a personalised home that truly reflects who you are, without compromising on style or your budget.
At Hommey, we’re more than just a homeware company – we’re a family dedicated to making ethical, sustainable choices. From reducing waste in our production chain to ensuring high-standard working conditions, we’re committed to doing better for our planet and our people.
As the Copywriter at Hommey, you’ll be the voice behind the visuals—shaping words that don’t just describe, but evoke. From product names to website copy, email subject lines to campaign interactions, you’ll craft copy that resonates with our audience and reflects our evolving brand identity.
Key Responsibilities
- Write and edit copy across our entire ecosystem — website, email, paid ads, social, packaging, campaigns, and more
- Develop product descriptions that guide and delight (without sounding like a spec sheet)
- Create email campaigns and subject lines that stand out in a crowded inbox
- Collaborate with the Brand and Content teams to tell stories that elevate new products, launches and moments
- Refine and evolve our tone of voice in line with the brand’s growth and identity
- Proofread and polish internal and external content to maintain clarity and consistency
- Keep a pulse on culture, language trends and what our community actually wants to hear
KEY SKILLS
- 3–5+ years experience in copywriting, content or editorial (agency or in-house)
- A portfolio that shows off your range — tone, format, platform and purpose
- Strong understanding of brand voice and a knack for clear, clean, and clever language
- Experience writing for eCommerce, digital, and DTC audiences
- Collaborative by nature — you’re a thoughtful communicator and creative teammate
- High attention to detail and an ability to manage multiple projects with confidence
