Role Description
We’re looking for a detail-driven E-Commerce Operations Coordinator to support the day-to-day backend of our Shopify business. Based in Surry Hills, Sydney, we’re a fashion and lifestyle distribution agency representing brands including Saturdays NYC, Rains, and Suicoke.
This role sits at the centre of product data, inventory accuracy, and customer experience — working closely with merchandising, warehouse, and customer service teams to ensure everything behind the scenes runs smoothly.
This is a hands-on role for someone who’s comfortable deep in Shopify, thrives on clean data, and cares about things being done correctly.
Key Responsibilities
PRODUCT MANAGEMENT
- Upload and manage products in Shopify, including titles, descriptions, imagery, pricing, and metadata.
- Enrich product data for accuracy, consistency, and discoverability.
- Maintain product organisation through collections, tags, and attributes.
- Troubleshoot and resolve backend product issues as they arise.
INVENTORY AND OPERATIONS
- Upload and manage inventory based on supplier purchase orders (POs).
- Ensure inventory accuracy across products, variants, and locations.
- Track incoming stock and update availability accordingly.
- Support reporting and reconciliation as needed.
CUSTOMER SERVICE SUPPORT
- Manage customer service inquiries through Shopify and Gorgias.
- Resolve order, shipping, return, and product-related questions efficiently and professionally.
- Escalate issues when needed and identify recurring problems or patterns.
- Help maintain clear customer communication and response standards.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Experience working with Shopify (admin/backend required).
- Comfortable handling large volumes of product and inventory data.
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Familiarity with Gorgias or similar customer service platforms.
- Confident working from supplier documentation (POs, line sheets, invoices).
- Clear written communication and problem-solving skills.
NICE TO HAVE
- Experience in a small business or fast-moving e-commerce environment.
- Basic understanding of inventory management or fulfillment workflows.
- Experience working with apparel, retail, or multi-variant products.
