Role Description
Jac + Jack is seeking a highly motivated Design Assistant to join our creative team. This role supports the Creative Director and Art Director/Assistant Designer in bringing new collections to life, working across every stage of the design process.
As part of the design team, you’ll play a key role in building our seasonal collections — from initial concept development through to final samples — ensuring all work reflects the Jac + Jack aesthetic.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the design and development of seasonal collections.
- Support with storyboards and trend research for seasonal collections.
- Prepare and maintain design documentation including tech packs, range plans, and fabric/trim trackers.
- Support fittings and sampling process, ensuring notes and updates are accurate.
- Manage fabrics, trims, yarns, and supplier communication under direction.
- Assist in preparing sales and marketing samples.
- Support creative projects, collaborations, and photoshoots.
- Ensure the design room, showroom, and archives are organised and aligned with brand standards.
KEY SKILLS
- 1–2 years’ experience in a fashion design or design assistant role.
- Strong understanding of brand identity and storytelling.
- Organised, detail-oriented, and outcome focused.
- Clear communicator and collaborative team player.
- Positive, proactive, and open to feedback.
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator & InDesign) and Excel.
