We’re looking for a Digital Executive to be responsible for optimising the digital channels across Social, Paid Advertising and CRM Email Marketing for Shona Joy’s domestic and international markets. Key responsibilities include: paid and organic channels across Google, Meta, Pinterest, TikTok and email, using primary and secondary data to make informed decisions and influence the strategy for success across the Shona Joy website.

Key Responsibilities

PAID ADVERTISING

  • Alongside the Head of Ecommerce & Digital, be responsible for communicating with the digital marketing agency ensuring that campaigns and BAU strategies are executed.
  • Alongside the Head of Ecommerce & Digital, roll out global paid digital strategies across Meta, Pinterest, Tik Tok & Google inline with business and commercial objectives.
  • Working alongside the digital agencies, optimise audience segments and tailor digital marketing strategies accordingly to ensure a personalised and tailored approach.
  • Ensure the timely briefing and delivery of creative within internal and external teams, ensuring creative meets best practice measures and brand alignment.
  • Provide weekly and monthly reporting of paid digital channels across relevant dashboards & wrap up reports to provide key insights and analysis to the wider team.
  • Align the paid strategy to annual and monthly marketing plans ensuring there are measurable outcomes and KPI’s with the digital agency.
  • With assistance from the Digital Assistant, manage and monitor performance to maximise ROI and ensure weekly and monthly targets are met.
  • Identify areas for opportunity and growth within the domestic and international market.

 

CRM

  • With approval from Head of Ecommerce & Digital and on a weekly and monthly basis, plan out email communications across campaigns and flows.
  • Aligning with key focuses and commercial targets, executing the EDM strategy and calendar plan, setting messaging for campaigns and flows
  • Execute all customer segmentation and A/B testing.
  • Prepare reporting for EDMs, measuring weekly traffic targets for northern and southern hemisphere with country specific targets and strategies for key regions.
  • Support in building the Marketing Calendar, outlining key dates and marketing activities for the relative locations.
  • Working closely with the Brand team, continually look for opportunities to improve best practice across email design focusing on the customer journey and brand alignment.
  • Consistently review the logic of flows, ensuring data is being received correctly and there are no technical issues.
  • On a weekly and monthly basis, plan out SMS communications across campaign and flows, aligning with key focus and commercial targets.
  • On a monthly basis, oversee and ensure all trigger flow creative is updated with relevant imagery and optimised for best practice.
  • Ensure all communications are aligned with relevant social and cross department communications.
  • Manage communication with the Shona Joy appointed external agency partners ensuring strategies align with best practice.
  • Working closely with the Head of Ecommerce & Digital, will manage and maintain the Shona Joy Loyalty program, ensuring the program is optimised for acquisition and retention.

 

ORGANIC SOCIAL MEDIA

  • Responsible for the strategic planning of organic social channels (Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest & Linkedin) in line with the brand vision while maintaining key performance metrics of engagement and reach
  • Manage the content calendar, ensuring timely execution of posts, and ensuring content is planned in advance for seasonal and campaign launches across all SJ organic social media platforms according to strategy of Brand Director and Head of eCommerce and Digital
  • Responsible for all copywriting across organic social channels aligned with the brand tone of voice with sign off from Head Of Ecommerce & Digital and Head of Brand. Ensuring weekly copywriting is completed within agreed timeframes.
  • Responsible for planning and briefing all relevant content to social channels, aligned with key communications and marketing campaigns. (Instagram, Tiktok, Pinterest, LinkedIn and Facebook)
  • Oversee the Digital and Marketing assistant in posting and uploading approved content to relevant social media channels (Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, LinkedIn, and Facebook), ensuring all content is managed and published within agreed timeframes and meets platform-specific guidelines.
  • Responsible for overseeing the Digital Assistant in tagging products across all channels and on Foursixty
  • Responsible for overseeing the Digital Assistant in optimising and enhancing the customer experience on organic social channels, ensuring appropriate tagging, linking, and community management. Work with the customer care team to ensure all channels are curated and responded to in a timely manner
  • Responsible for consistently staying ahead of trends / new technologies / updates to our platform and that frequent updates are provided to the relevant team members on a weekly basis.
  • Ensuring updates to the social media strategy are presented to the Head Of Ecommerce & Digital / Head Of Brand for approval, reflective of the latest trends and algorithm updates.
  • Responsible for ensuring that Key Performance Metrics are achieved on a weekly and monthly basis – follower growth, engagement, traffic, conversion.
  • Responsible for overseeing the management of Linktree, ensuring all links are regularly updated in line with campaigns and marketing initiatives.
  • Responsible for overseeing that the customer care team ensure all channels are curated and responded to in a timely manner

 

CONTENT CREATION

  • In collaboration with the Brand department, ideate and execute engaging social content on a monthly basis that aligns with the brand objectives, ensuring the content resonates with the target audience across various platforms
  • Attend campaign and eCommerce shoots as needed, offering creative input and ensuring that the brand’s message is effectively captured in all visual assets tailored for the relevant channels (TikTok, Pinterest etc.)
  • Work with the Brand team to align on key objectives before each seasonal launch, ensuring we are aligned on key story-telling and overall vision.
  • Capture and edit in-house content monthly, ensuring the assets are optimised for each relevant social channel (Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, etc.), maintaining high visual and brand standards
  • Assist in tracking the performance of social content across channels, identifying top-performing content, and suggesting improvements based on data-driven insights
  • Proactively research emerging trends in social media and content creation, bringing fresh ideas to the table for new content formats, campaigns, or creative approaches to engage with the audience
  • Regularly collaborate with other teams (e.g., Digital Marketing, eCommerce, PR) to ensure content supports broader campaigns and initiatives, and to ensure consistency across all marketing material

 

REPORTING AND PERFORMANCE

  • Monitor and report on the performance of CRM, social and paid media channels (TikTok, Pinterest, etc.), tracking KPIs such as CTR, conversion rates, and ROI wi. Be able to explain performance metrics to the wider business, helping other teams understand the results and implications of paid media campaigns
  • Compile comprehensive post-campaign reports, including performance summaries, key takeaways, and recommendations for future improvements

 

TEAM MANAGEMENT

  • Provide guidance, provide training for new tasks, assign tasks and help manage time and hold regular check-ins to provide constructive feedback.
  • Address any challenges and ensure they are developing in their role.
  • Encourage open communication and maintain a collaborative and positive team environment.
