Role Description
Edward Meller is in an exciting phase of growth, and we’re looking for a passionate, detail-oriented Ecommerce and Marketing Coordinator to join our dynamic digital team. This role is ideal for someone who’s eager to build a long-term career in ecommerce and digital marketing, working across product content, campaign execution, SEO, digital merchandising, and more.
As our Ecommerce and Marketing Coordinator, you’ll support the end-to-end digital experience for our customers. From uploading new collections and optimising product listings to assisting with marketing campaigns and catalogue creation, you’ll help shape the online expression of a proudly Australian, family-owned brand with over 60 years of heritage.
This is a fast-paced, hands-on opportunity to learn from an experienced team and gain exposure to multiple facets of ecommerce and digital marketing. As the business evolves, there will be scope for responsibilities to grow in line with your strengths and career goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Upload, publish and maintain product listings on the Edward Meller website, as well as partner platforms like David Jones and The Iconic — including imagery, pricing, descriptions, and metadata
- Write engaging, SEO-optimised product and collection descriptions aligned with our brand tone of voice
- Support the development of seasonal catalogues, range sheets, and other brand and trade assets
- Assist with data preparation and research for new product launches and seasonal drops
- Optimise content and product categorisation to support discoverability and conversion
- Collaborate with Product, Creative, and Customer teams to ensure product information is accurate and informative
- Use spreadsheets and bulk upload tools to manage large volumes of product data efficiently
- Assist with photography and content production — including flat lays, sample prep, basic editing, and retouching
- Build and update landing pages to support seasonal campaigns, product launches, and promotions
- Support EDM creation and scheduling via Klaviyo or similar platforms
- Conduct regular content and UX audits across digital channels to ensure consistency and brand alignment
- Help track ecommerce KPIs and contribute to reporting and insights to improve performance
- Provide general support for photoshoots, digital asset management, and marketing activations
- Please note: Additional responsibilities may be added over time as the role develops in response to the candidate’s interests and the needs of the business.
WHO YOU ARE
- Meticulous with details and driven by delivering polished, high-quality work.
- A strong writer and communicator with a knack for brand storytelling.
- Data-savvy and confident using spreadsheets and content management systems.
- Proactive, collaborative, and enthusiastic about learning and trying new things.
- Comfortable working to deadlines and juggling multiple tasks.
- Passionate about fashion, design, and creating standout digital experiences.
WHAT YOU BRING
- 2+ years’ experience in ecommerce, digital content, marketing, or retail.
- Strong copywriting and proofreading skills, ideally with SEO understanding.
- Familiarity with Shopify or similar e-commerce platforms.
- Experience using Klaviyo or similar email marketing tools.
- Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets for handling product data.
- Basic Photoshop, Illustrator, and Lightroom skills.
- Experience with InDesign, especially for range sheets or catalogues, is a plus.
- Working knowledge of HTML/CSS or CMS platforms is highly desirable.
- Experience with marketplaces like The Iconic or David Jones Online is a bonus.
