Role Description
MAISON ESSENTIELE is looking for hard working & enthusiastic interns with a great work ethic & attention to detail.
As an emerging brand, you will receive hands on experience and an opportunity to collaborate with our tight knit team.
As part of our internship program, you will receive experience and training in a number of different areas of the business, equipping you to move into a junior design career.
Key Responsibilities
- Learn stocktaking and learning how to use Shopify
- Learn about prepping the showroom for appointments and general showroom up-keep/
- presentation
- Learning about press, including how to create send-outs and returns
- Learning how to measure samples, assist with filing trimmings, materials and buttons
- Assisting in creation of seasonal range plans, detailed CADs and updating tech packs
- Assist in fabric sourcing for garments
- Attend fit session and take detailed notes
- Learning about and assisting with social media imagery / market research
KEY SKILLS
- Be available 2 days per week from 10am – 4pm for three months
- Be a current or previous student, or have relevant work experience to the same degree
- A strong understanding of garment construction
- Proficiency in CAD drawing and technical design
- Enjoy hands on work and be eager to assist
- Complete tasks from start to finish with a high level of organisation and efficiency
- Be proficient in Microsoft word, excel and Powerpoint
