Join our creative team at our Head Office in Fremantle, Western Australia as a Womenswear Designer, where you’ll play a pivotal role in bringing our brand’s seasonal collections to life. This position calls for a keen eye for detail and a deep understanding of design and product development, ensuring every design aligns seamlessly with our brand vision.
Key Responsibilities
- Technical Design: Create detailed technical illustrations for designated lines, working closely with the Design Director to ensure consistency in style and standards.
- Production Handover: Develop Tech Packs with specifications, materials and measurements. Manage quality through fit sessions providing detailed feedback.
- Collection Development: Support in the creation of capsule collections, bridging concept and production with precision and creativity.
- Materials & Fabrics: Oversee print, colour, and fabric development, collaborating with suppliers to ensure quality and troubleshoot any production challenges.
- Supplier Partnerships: Build and sustain productive relationships with suppliers, navigating cost negotiations and upholding brand standards.
KEY SKILLS
- Experience: 2+ years in fashion design, preferably with a strong technical foundation in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, or Procreate but not essential.
- Garment Knowledge: Solid understanding of garment construction, materials, trims, specifically knitwear and yarn development.
- Project Management: Skilled in timeline management, meeting deadlines, and adhering to the production calendar.
- Team Collaboration: A team player who collaborates well with product and design teams, translating creative concepts into practical designs.
