Role Description
We’re looking for an experienced Garment Technician to join the team at VEHLA on a freelance basis. You’ll play a key role in ensuring the quality, fit, and functionality of our activewear products. From initial samples to bulk production, you will be the bridge between design, product development and manufacturing, helping us create pieces that meet our high standard.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the founders on developing samples and tech packs for each product.
- Review samples and pre-production garments, providing clear, practical feedback to suppliers.
- Create and maintain accurate technical specifications, measurement / size charts.
- Liaise with manufacturers to troubleshoot technical issues and ensure precise execution.
- Attend fit sessions and translate outcomes into actionable technical updates and specification changes.
- Support the team with QC.
- Work alongside the team to define and manage product launch timelines and overall roadmap.
- Build and maintain strong, effective relationships with suppliers.
ABOUT YOU
- Strong understanding of garment construction, specs, patterns, and fit.
- Organised, proactive, and capable of managing multiple sample stages.
- Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Based in Sydney, with ability to attend fittings and in-person design meetings.
