Role Description
In this role, the successful candidate will be instrumental in ensuring the seamless, efficient, and compliant movement of goods across the global network. From production and retail shipments to freight coordination and customs compliance, they will oversee end-to-end logistics operations that uphold the company’s commitment to service excellence and operational precision. Working closely with internal stakeholders and trusted external partners, they will bring a proactive, solutions-focused approach to managing complex international logistics in alignment with Zimmermann’s high standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and manage global inbound and outbound shipments from factories and 3PLs in Europe, Asia-Pacific, and the Americas.
- Organise weekly freight consolidations and prepare all necessary documentation for customs clearance.
- Manage consignments of finished goods, updating stakeholders and coordinating with freight forwarders.
- Oversee import/export documentation such as invoices, bills of lading, and Certificates of Origin.
- Coordinate global shipments from suppliers in Vietnam, Sri Lanka, India, Madagascar, Turkey, Portugal, and Romania.
- Track weekly exports from Hong Kong and Italy 3PLs to key global markets including the US, Mexico, Thailand, Switzerland, and more.
- Maintain freight schedules and reporting tools using Excel to monitor shipment statuses.
- Liaise with customs brokers to ensure compliance with international trade laws, including duties and tariffs.
- Coordinate Ex-Works (EXW) shipments and consolidate freight to reduce costs and reliance on air freight.
- Negotiate freight rates and secure capacity for peak trading periods.
- Maintain logistics cost and tax databases and support quarterly and annual KPI reporting.
KEY SKILLS
- 2-4 years’ experience in international logistics, supply chain, or freight coordination (retail/fashion industry preferred).
- Strong understanding of Incoterms, customs procedures, and global trade compliance.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive, hands-on approach.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint) and logistics systems (e.g., ERP – AP21, WMS, freight portals)
