As the Marketing Strategist at Mode Mischief, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our brand’s growth. You will develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies to promote our products, leveraging your understanding of trends, communication, and strategy to drive engagement. This role involves analyzing market trends, understanding customer behavior, and identifying opportunities to enhance Mode Mischief’s presence and sales. Working collaboratively with cross-functional teams, you will ensure brand alignment and guide the creative process to produce impactful campaigns.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement innovative marketing strategies to enhance brand direction and drive sales.
- Analyse market trends, customer behavior, and competitor activity to identify opportunities for growth.
- Create engaging content strategies aligned with Mode Mischief’s brand and vision, collaborating and delegating tasks to creative teams for execution.
- Lead in collaboration with the Founder, Creative Director and other creative roles to execute marketing campaigns, by providing clear direction and ensuring consistency across all platforms.
- Coordinate and assist in preparing photoshoots for upcoming styles, ensuring alignment with campaign goals and brand aesthetics.
- Lead the planning and execution of pop-ups, activations and events by organising the activation strategy, defining objectives, and ensuring each aligns with Mode Mischief’s brand vision and goals.
- Manage communication across multiple teams, ensuring strategies are effectively conveyed and executed cohesively across departments and in a timely fashion.
- Coordinate and manage successful communication and implementation of creative marketing and social teams to ensure strategy is rolled out and implemented successfully.
- Continuously updating, adjusting and reviewing strategy rollout and making improvements where possible.
- Assist in the creation and execution of campaign launches, activations and pop-ups.
- Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify trends, insights, and opportunities that inform and strengthen Mode Mischief’s marketing strategies.
- Manage, oversee and optimise Mode Mischief’s digital marketing channels, including SEO, email marketing, and social media paid and unpaid, to maximize ROI and effectively reach target audiences.
- Oversee the creation of cohesive marketing materials across all touchpoints, including digital assets, email campaigns, and website content, ensuring alignment with Mode Mischief’s brand identity.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to continuously improve and innovate Mode Mischief’s marketing efforts.
- Assist in proposing and managing budgets for marketing activities, ensuring cost efficiency and aligning these with key activities.

- Strong copywriting skills that reflects the brand and the marketing strategy
- Meticulous attention to detail with clear demonstration of organisation.

- Ability to convey information and ideas clearly and succinctly
- Proactive, initiating attitude – you take action to accomplish objectives and goals beyond what is required
- Can manage multiple projects and meet deadlines consistently
- Strong tech skills and systems management (e.g. experience working with CRM and CMS platforms, databases, email marketing (Klayvio & Yopto) and marketing automation software).
- Relevant University qualification – Bachelor in Marketing, Management or related discipline
- Minimum 4+ years similar experience in the e-commerce fashion and or e-commerce retail sector
- A minimum of 4+ years of experience managing a team
- Extensive experience in developing and implementing marketing strategy, e-commerce experience and experience managing a CRM
- Proficiency in digital marketing channels such as Digital Advertising Social Media, EDM marketing, and SEO
- Digital Agency experience preferred
- Demonstrated experience in leading high-performing teams
- Strong knowledge of product management, product life cycle and segmentation, forecasting marketing sell through tactics to investment strategies
- Strategic mindset to competitively position the brand within the market
- Deep comprehension of customer behaviours and preferences
- Capability to develop and execute customer-centric marketing strategies comprehensively
- Strong analytical abilities to assess market trends, competitor activities, and consumer behaviors
- Effective project management skills to plan, execute, and monitor marketing campaigns and projects
- Proficient in utilising marketing automation tools and analytics platforms
- Capacity to establish clear expectations, provide constructive feedback, and resolve issues promptly
