THE ROLE
We’re looking for a commercially savvy Wholesale Account Manager to drive Nala’s retail growth and strengthen our partnerships across Australia. In this role, you’ll lead the wholesale strategy, optimise in-store performance, and turn insights into action that elevates our presence in store. You’ll manage and mentor our merchandiser team, championing exceptional execution and best-in-class customer experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and Maintain Retail Relationships: Cultivate strong, long-term partnerships with retail partners, fostering open, transparent, and positive communication.
- Strategy & Growth: Lead the development and execution of wholesale strategies to drive category and SKU growth, identifying new opportunities for expansion.
- Sales Analysis & Insights: Monitor and analyse sales performance, leveraging insights to inform strategy and in-store initiatives.
- Inventory & Stock Management: Ensure optimal in-store stock levels across all retail partners, proactively addressing gaps or surpluses.
- Team Leadership: Manage and inspire a team of retail merchandisers, driving high levels of in-store performance and engagement.
- Merchandising Support: Provide ongoing merchandising guidance and support to all stores, ensuring brand standards are consistently upheld.
- Training & Recruitment: Deliver training programs for retail merchandisers, and manage recruitment to support business growth and expansion.
- Optimisation & Innovation: Identify opportunities to enhance the in-store experience through packaging, merchandising, and other initiatives.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- 3–5 years’ experience in a wholesale manager or buyer role within fashion, lingerie or apparel.
- Strong commercial acumen, with excellent analytical and numerical capabilities.
- Exceptional organisational skills, is efficient, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities with ease.
- Outstanding communication and presentation skills.
- Proven ability to build and maintain strong supplier and retail partner relationships.
- Collaborative leadership skills, with experience guiding and motivating teams to perform at their best.
- A passion for creating best-in-class in-store customer experiences and bringing brand vision to life.
- A hands-on, roll-up-your-sleeves attitude, comfortable jumping in wherever needed to support execution.
- Strategic thinking, with the ability to understand the bigger picture and contribute to broader business strategy.
- Take initiative in analysing in-store performance to optimise sales and expand category opportunities.
- Role is 4 days per week, hybrid setup.
