Role Description
Kavala Collective is a premium, tropical-inspired surf and activewear brand designed for adventure girlies chasing waves, yoga, and their dream lives.
We create feminine, flattering, functional pieces made for studio-to-sea living. Our community is global (USA + AUS focus), and we are scaling aggressively across Meta ads, TikTok, and organic social.
We are looking for a high-level short-form video editor who understands both performance marketing (Meta ads) and viral social content (TikTok + Reels). This is NOT just aesthetic editing — this role is about driving conversion.
Key Responsibilities
- Meta ad creatives (UGC + founder + product)
- TikTok organic reels
- Instagram reels
- Hook variations for paid ads
- Cut-downs of top-performing creatives
- Iterations based on performance data
- Analyse what’s working
- Replicate winning patterns
- Test new hooks + angles
- Improve retention and scroll-stop rates
- Editing high-converting Meta ads from raw content + briefs
- Creating multiple hook variations from the same footage
- Optimising first 3 seconds for retention
- Adding dynamic captions + overlays
- Fast, clean cuts (no slow corporate energy)
- Turning raw UGC into performance ads
- Repurposing top creatives for organic social
KEY SKILLS
- Have experience editing for Meta ads (this is essential)
- Understand ROAS, CTR, hook rate, retention
- Know how to make content feel native to TikTok
- Can balance feminine aesthetic with performance
- Edit quickly and iterate fast
- Understand that first 3 seconds = everything
- Are proactive, not just task-based
- Have worked with fashion / swim / active brands
- Understand UGC trends
- Can identify viral hooks
- Have used Motion or other creative analytics tools
- CapCut / Premiere Pro / Final Cut / similar skills
- Strong pacing + storytelling instincts
- Confident with subtitles + dynamic text
- Understanding of paid ad structure
- Ability to produce 20–40 creatives per week
