Role Description
Mutimer is expanding and we are looking for a Retail Manager to join our growing team, based in Collingwood. This role goes beyond day-to-day store management. You will be responsible for the overall performance, presentation, and operation of the store with a high degree of responsibility and ownership over store performance. You’ll lead the team, manage stock at store level, maintain brand standards, and provide clear reporting and insights back to the wider business.
Key Responsibilities
- Take full ownership of the day-to-day operation of the retail store, ensuring it operates efficiently, profitably, and to Mutimer’s brand standards at all times.
- Lead, train, and manage the retail team, setting clear expectations around customer service, presentation, product knowledge, and performance.
- Act as the primary point of accountability for the store’s appearance, visual merchandising, cleanliness, and overall customer experience.
- Monitor store-level stock on a daily and weekly basis, identifying fast sellers, slow movers, size gaps, and replenishment needs.
- Report on stock performance, sell-through, and customer feedback to Operations and the Founder, recommending stock movements, reorders, or adjustments as needed.
- Support product launches, in-store activations, and campaigns, ensuring the store is prepared, staffed, and merchandised correctly for each moment.
- Track and report on store performance metrics including sales, conversion, average order value, foot traffic, and sell-through.
- Manage store scheduling, rostering, and wage control in line with sales and budget targets.
- Handle all store-level communications relating to stock arrivals, merchandising changes, promotions, and operational updates.
- Proactively identify opportunities to improve store performance, customer experience, and operational efficiency, and implement improvements where appropriate.
- Ensure all store systems (POS, stock management, reporting tools) are used correctly and consistently by the team.
- Act as the store’s representative in cross-functional discussions, ensuring insights from the physical retail environment inform wider business decisions.
