Africa Fashion at NGV

From London’s Victoria & Albert Museum.
Come May, Australia will welcome the largest and most comprehensive exhibition of African fashion it has seen to date. Africa Fashion will arrive from the Victoria & Albert Museum in London to showcase a dynamic survey from some of the region’s most influential fashion designers.
Spanning both historical and contemporary designs, the exhibition will feature nearly 200 works from over 50 designers across more than 20 African countries and regions. Works will be drawn from the collection of the V&A, the NGV Collection as well as the personal archives of designers represented in the show.
Australia’s African diaspora is also invited to contribute by submitting fashion stories and photos. Further event details are here.
