Amplified Textiles Workshop with Sandy Ma
Oct 18

Textiles meet tech.
Sandy Ma is an Australian artist, educator and PhD candidate whose practice blends textiles, sound, performance and technology. Her work often weaves together code, fabric and electronics to spark playfulness and curiosity.
Held at the Science Gallery Melbourne, Sandy is hosting an interactive workshop exploring how fabric and circuitry can come together. At this workshop you’ll get to experience her installations designed to be touched, opening up gentler ways of connecting with technology.
With Sandy’s guidance, you’ll experiment with sewing and electronics using conductive thread and her custom-made software. Along the way, you’ll be encouraged to think about your own relationship with computers while creating something tactile and personal. For more information on the workshop, head here.
