Sacred Heart Mission’s Melbourne Fashion Week Show
Oct 24

Pre-loved on the runway.
Scared Heart Mission Op shop’s will present their greatest pre-loved finds on the runway for the first time at Melbourne Fashion Week this October. The event will showcase a range of vintage, high-end and Australian pieces sourced entirely from donations. The collection draws inspiration from Melbourne’s most iconic fashion districts, Collins Street, Brunswick Street and Chapel Street, and the pieces will be modelled by their very own op-shop volunteers.
Hosted by TikTok stars Ginger and Carman, the evening will also feature a panel discussion on the Australian fashion industry, with speakers including head designer at Kuwaii, Kristy Barber, head designer at Rolla’s, Andy Paltos and moderation by Olga Pokrovskaya from What People Wear. There will also be an inspiring talk on sustainability with Wardrobe Crisis author Clare Press.
Attendees will have the chance to shop the runway alongside a curated collection of secondhand Australian designer and vintage fashion and accessories. All proceeds will be donated to Sacred Heart Mission’s Women’s Services, supporting women experiencing homelessness. For more details on the event, head here.
