What is Venus dressing? An astrologist on how to dress for your birth chart

WORDS BY CELESTE MARTINE

When I heard that your Venus placement can actually help you style your wardrobe, I had to know more.

Before everyone rolls their eyes, what if I told you your astrology placements could help you style together outfits? Monthly zodiac spreads in the middle of magazines are filled with promises of meeting tall, dark and handsome strangers. They might even throw in a curveball and say your ex is thinking of reaching out to you. If these zodiac predictions can instruct you on your love life, is it possible they could help you shape your fashion choices?

Birth chart reading differs from the zodiac spreads in glossy pages of magazines, it’s an art form that’s been practised by civilisations for centuries. Birth charts, in essence, capture the exact placements of the planets at your time and place of birth.

These placements can be used to determine many factors, such as what you’re like in relationships, how you handle conflict as well as what career you may be well-suited to. My personal favourite placement is Venus, the planet of love. “Venus is about what you love! It also represents what [to] accentuate to enhance your appearance,” certified astrologist Marion Westaway tells me.

When I heard that your Venus placement can actually help you understand your wardrobe, I had to know more. So I probed Marion for answers and this is what she had to tell me about dressing in line with your Venus placement.
