Bella and Gigi Hadid posed naked for Vogue and the internet’s not happy
Words by Nikki Escalante
Two hard-working and successful model sisters – it’s easy to see why the fashion industry loves the Hadids.
In fact, British Vogue loves Gigi and Bella so much, the mag has tapped the duo to star in its March issue. Albeit completely naked and posing very intimately.
New editor-in-chief Edward Enninful unveiled the black and white snap via his Instagram, and he’s seemingly pleased with his creative direction.
He’s described the shoot as a reunion of two of fashion’s most in-demand models, who are commonly seen apart.
The response on Twitter has been less than approving, however, with users vocalising their discomfort about the shoot. Many have pointed out its strange and awkward nature, while some have gone so far as to claim the sisters’ pose borders fetishisation.
Leaving aside the unnecessary and excessive Photoshop editing, we’re not sure how we feel about it. You can check out some of the responses below.
Sisters, nude in an intimate position…this picture isn’t artistic, it’s pornographic and unsettling. This is an incredible #epicfail on British Vogue’s part.

Someone at @BritishVogue probably had a fun dream one night. Today it’s become a reality.

Would you ever pose a brother and sister, daughter and father, son and mother, mother and daughter, or father and son like this???

Could you imagine if brothers were posed like this? I mean picture the property brothers naked all legs spread and overlapped like this. Gross.

Good Lord…over hyped no talent so-called models looking creepy and disgusting. Is this what Vogue calls fashion today? No wonder no one takes them seriously anymore.

What are people on at British Vogue?! Why would you even think of this shot let alone carry it out?! This is just weird and creepy! Why would the EIC or @CondeNast allow this?!
