Celebrate iconic film fashion with two Wes Anderson screenings and panels

Words by Maeve Kerr-Crowley

Highlighting the filmmaker’s most memorable costume moments.

Few filmmakers throughout history have had an aesthetic flair more instantly recognisable than Wes Anderson.

His interiors are notoriously stylised and candy coloured, while his costuming is memorably lavish and occasionally ridiculous in the best possible way.

To look back on the fashion in some of his most visually iconic works, Cinema Nova is partnering with VAMFF to screen two of Anderson’s most popular films.

Catch The Grand Budapest Hotel (2014) on Tuesday March 10 and The Royal Tenenbaums (2001) on Wednesday March 11. Each screening will be followed by a panel discussion about the film’s costumes.

Seats are limited, so book your tickets here or find more information on the event here.
