Ahead of Mother’s Day.
Mother’s Day is just three days away, and if you’re anything like us, you’re probably scrambling to get a gift together.
But because pressie inspo rarely strikes when you need it to, we sought out some help for last-minute gift buying. And who better to ask than mother, grandmother and jewellery extraordinaire, Colette Hayman?
Read on below for Colette’s tips on winning Mother’s Day.
Organise your own family photo
This doesn’t have to be anything fancy, you can ask a friend to take it for you, whatever works! It’s such a lovely way to snap beautiful memories with your family that you can print and frame.
Plan a cute picnic
Get the family together, the best gift of all is to be surrounded by loved ones!
Get her flowers
You can never go wrong with a beautiful bunch of flowers. My personal favourites are peonies and white roses.
Make her breakfast in bed
Each year my kids would make me breakfast in bed as a *surprise* and as the baby of my three girls, Natasha was sent to my room to make sure I didn’t know what they were doing. She would say “you don’t have to come upstairs, there’s nothing going on, you know?” and I would have to play dumb until the big reveal.
When in doubt, buy jewellery
Jewellery is a great way to remember special events, my favourite jewellery pieces are the ones that remind me of my beautiful family.
