Get creative, Converse has launched in-store customisation in Australia

Let your creative flag fly.
Converse’s Chuck Taylor All Star is undeniably one of the most iconic sneaker styles of all time.
Since its debut in 1917, the All Star has been worn by artists, musicians and fans, each pair being personalised with wear and tear, and often custom drawings and paint splatters. With the help of this legendary style, Converse has made a name for itself in making sneakers a canvas for self-expression.
Now, Converse Australia is asking you to come into store to customise your own pair of All Stars, and make them totally your own.
The brand has launched a unique sneaker personalisation experience at its Chadstone, Melbourne location with the help of creative design agency Space Between and production partner Boom Studios.
The interactive experience offers digital tools to help customers in flexing their creative muscles. Each buyer is given a one-on-one experience to guide them through the bespoke customisation app in-store. Select from a range of quirky patches which include a rainbow, an alien head, a basketball and (my personal favourite) an eggplant emoji.
Your chosen patches will then be applied to your sneakers’ tongues and over the All Star branding, transforming your kicks into one-of-a-kind pieces on the spot.
You can find the installation at the Converse store in Chadstone running all the way into the new year, with two more key Converse stores across Australia and New Zealand following suit before Christmas.
