Karen Walker drops powerful Resort ’17 collection
For every female warrior.
Gazing through Karen Walker’s newest collection is like being taken back through the decades. And that’s exactly where the inspiration came from.
Titled MUJER, the collection was inspired by female anti-fascists during the Spanish Civil War.
What you’ll see is a clever mix of masculine and feminine, as well as folk and utility.
And it’s kind of inspiring the inner warrior within us.
Ladylike shapes are emphasised, while military references are worked into the khaki, stone, tobacco and camo print colour palette.
Sealing the deal is the KW’s execution of detail. Off-the-shoulder styles feature raw ruching, over-sized shirts are lashed at the elbows and pockets are oversized.
The collection is available in store and online from October 2016.
