Cult label meets cult series.
It’s cult label meets cult series for Stolen Girlfriends Club Winter 15 range.
The label has this season turned to television subculture, seeking inspiration from the cult ’90s TV series, Twin Peaks. Accordingly, the range carries with it surrealist elements echoing the genre of the series, with features like enveloping prints and subtly exaggerated shapes.
Also overtly present are some very morbid overtones such as severed hands, skeletal imagery and bedazzled knife appliqués. Yet designers Marc Moore, Luke Harwood and Dan Gosling have somehow miraculously retained an inherent wearability.
It’s that perfect balance of edgy yet cool, like a death metal tee that’s suitable to meet Nanna.
