A who’s who of Calvin Klein’s uber cool Fall campaign

Meet the new faces.

We probably don’t need to remind you about the insane global campaign Calvin Klein launched earlier this month.

And while the campaign features a stellar lineup of industry heavyweights – think Grace Coddington, Kate Moss, Margot Robbie – it also features a neat selection of up-and-comers.

We’ve already briefed you on our theory that CK makes people famous. So, we thought we’d brief you on the lesser known faces, because pretty soon you’ll be seeing them everywhere.

Who: Tommy Genesis
What: Musician
Why: If you need an update to your Spotify playlist, then hop on your computer and start saving Tommy Genesis’ debut album, World Vision. Not only will ‘Execute’ be your new favourite song, you’ll be supporting an up-and-comer who’s dominating the underground rap scene with her sultry club hits and killer style.

Who: Lola Kirke
What: Indie actor
Why: Lola Kirke was born into one of NYC’s coolest families (her mum’s boutique supplied vintage outfits to Sex and the City and her sister Jemima stars in HBO’s Girls). Family aside, the up-and-coming actor is making a name for herself in her own right. Kirke landed a role in Gone Girl and now holds a starring spot alongside Tom Cruise in the upcoming crime thriller, Mena.

Who: G.E.M. (stands for Get Everybody Moving)
What: Singer/songwriter
Why: G.E.M has been called the Taylor Swift of China. She’s one of Hong Kong’s top selling female artists, as well as the only Asian artist featured in Forbes’ Under 30: Music shortlist. G.E.M is already breaking into the US music industry and if that’s not enough, she’s planning to be the first musician to perform in space. IN SPACE. She’s already started space training in Amsterdam. How’s that for goals?

Who: Sonoya Mizuno
What: Actress and dancer
Why: Sonoya gives the term ‘triple threat’ a new meaning. The British/Japanese actress, model and ballerina trained with the Royal Ballet School, and has modelled for Chanel and Alexander McQueen (to name just a few). And that’s not even the start of it. Sonoya’s now breaking into Hollywood, already starring in Ex Machina and the upcoming Beauty and the Beast

Who: Antoine-Olivier Pilon
What: Indie actor
Why: This 19-year-old Canadian is best known for his award-winning roles in some of Canada’s best indie flicks. Flicks like Mommy (you can check out the brill trailer here).  Accolades include Best Actor in a Foreign Film at the Young Artist Awards and Best Actor in a Leading Role at the Canadian Screen Awards.

Who: Selah Marley
What: Model and social media star
Why: Her mum’s Lauryn Hill and her grandfather is Bob Marley, so cool already runs in Selah’s genes. The vocal 17-year-old is now turning her hand to modelling, which should be pretty easy for Selah. I mean lookather.  Given her ancestral lineup, it’s no news Selah also has plans to head it up in the music world too.

Who: Presley Walker Gerber
What: Social media star and model
Why: Son of Cindy Crawford and brother of Kaia, Presley is a modelling natural. He’s already dominating the hearts of teen gals everywhere thanks in no small part to his Instagram. At just 17, he’s posed in the CR Fashion Book (twice. ugh.) and has walked for big brands like Moschino and Dolce & Gabbana. Mum must be proud.

So there you have it. That healthy dose of cool should keep you inspired for a little while to come.

If that’s not enough, you can always study every single shot of the new campaign.

…Not that we’ve done that.

(We have.)
