An ethical fashion pop-up is coming to Melbourne

Green is the new black.

APOM, Belmore and Keegan are three Melbourne labels with one goal in mind: to raise social awareness by creating sustainable apparel.

As part of Melbourne Spring Fashion Week, the trio will be joining forces in an ethical pop-up installation, displaying collections from all three labels.

Though the installation will run for the entire week, a special pop-up launch will be held on August 26 as part of Vogue American Express Fashion’s Night Out.

Here are some v cool reasons why you should swing by:

1. Exclusive collection previews

Think handcrafted minimalist footwear from Belmore; tailored, organic apparel from Keegan; and delicate dresses and ’70s silhouettes from APOM. Not to mention exclusive artwork by Brunswick artist Nico Philips on all the APOM garments.

2. Melbourne street style talks and styling sessions with designers

It’s always inspiring listening to the insights and experience from fashion industry experts. The launch event will see an intimate demo with designers from the three labels, giving attendees the opportunity to experience a one-on-one style session. Count us in.

3. It celebrates Australian-made fashion

There’s nothing more fab than fashion labels that care about the environment, as well as promoting local businesses.

4. Treats and drinks

Treats from Trattoria Emilia and refreshments from Polperro Wines and Moon Dog Brewery will be available throughout the evening. Luckily, it’s not on a school night.

5. It’ll be a great chance to network

Not just with designers. You never know how many other budding entrepreneurs/fashion students/industry experts may be floating around. Think of potential collabs and also new brunch buddies.
